Pastor Tammy came to Christus Victor in 2005 as a part-time Associate in ministry. In 2009, Tammy was hired to serve in the role of Pastor full-time while completing seminary training at Lutheran Theological Program of the Southwest through the TEEM Program (Theological Education for Emerging Ministries). Tammy completed her studies in late 2011 and was ordained on May 27th, 2012.
Prior to ministry at Christus Victor, Tammy was a juvenile probation officer for 5 years, during which time she worked with crime victims. She then taught for 10 years at the juvenile detention center. During those 15 years, Tammy continued to work in various ways within the church.
Tammy has been married to Rick Sharp since 1987 and has two children: Kelly passed away in 2004, at the age of 16 after a 3 ½ year battle with cancer. She is missed, but is often introduced through Tammy’s sermons. Josh is grown and was recently married to Sarah.
